Back to School Drive La Rosa's Back to School Drive is the largest program of the year. It includes providing over 1500 backpacks full of school supplies and over 1000 bags of groceries to some of the neediest families in Houston free of charge. In 2008, we plan to include a uniform distribution for these families.
Christmas Toy Distribution and Adopt a Family Program The Christmas Toy Distribution and the Adopt a Family programs occur during the month of December. It is a time when La Rosa holds heart warming programs that involves giving toys to over 300 children in the Houston area. La Rosa also provides them with a day full of fun at a children's festival. In addition, this program includes companies that adopt over 25 families considered by HISD to be some of the neediest in the Houston area. Sponsors provide as many items as possible from the families' Christmas wish lists, including many items donated by their corporate sponsors. |
